Aunt Kathy’s Easy Crockpot Spaghetti

This is a great recipe for those days when you are working late or busy around the house with Spring cleaning.  My Aunt Kathy made this for family gatherings at her house.  She would also take this to potlucks.  This recipe serves 6.  And – the recipe does not call for this but I also add 1/2 teaspoon of Italian seasoning.  This is also a great recipe for single guys or weekend Dads to make.  Stop eating hot dogs and give this one a try!

1 pound 93 percent lean ground beef
in skillet.  Drain, rinse and place in crockpot.  Then add….
1 Tablespoon instant minced onion
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (4 ounce) can mushroom pieces, drained
3 cups tomato juice.
Stir well then cover and cook on low 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.  During the last hour of cooking turn to high heat and stir in…..
4 ounces dry spaghetti (1 1/2 cups) broken into 4 inch pieces.
Serve with salad, toasted garlic bread and grated Parmesan cheese.  Delicious!  Easy!
