Grandma’s Never Fail Noodles

noodles5These homemade noodles are so good.  Chicken and Noodles.  Beef and Noodles.  Turkey and Noodles.  We will show how we make all of these recipes but this is the basics of how to make the noodles.  This is the beginning of feel real good food.

4 eggs
2 teaspoons salt
8 Tablespoons half and half
4 cups flour
Combine eggs, salt and half and half.  Beat gently then (NOTE:  You may not use all the flour!) begin to add flour, stirring in with your fork.  This is hard to describe but there will come a point that you will set aside the fork and then you will want to knead this by hand until you ensure that the dough is no longer sticky but becomes a soft and yet not too stiff ball of dough.  Use the remaining flour to dust your surface and then roll with rolling pin until the dough is thin.  Roll up and slice about an 1/8 of an inch thick.  Unroll the slices and spread out evenly over your surface mixing in the flour that is on the surface as you go so the noodles are evenly, lightly coated in the flour.  Let these dry throughout the day.  Drop into boiling soup or boiling salted water and cook for 10 minutes until tender.  We will link this post to recipes where we use Grandma’s Never Fail Noodles.
