Grandma’s Homemade Chicken and Noodles

ghcnWell, not that long ago we all got together for holiday cheer and everyone came home with packages, boxes and bags and very likely also came home with colds, fevers, and flus too!  So, since we had so many Google searches for this one last year after we mentioned we would be posting it, we thought we better get this out for everyone. Here is Grandma’s Homemade Chicken and Noodles.

The main post directs you to a couple other posts. We decided to post the recipe for Grandma’s Never Fail Noodles as separate post as we plan to step you through making beef and noodles and turkey and noodles, which we make a bit differently than the chicken and noodles. It also links to a recipe for Butter Balls – which is the Midwestern down home name for the chef’s fancy Beurre manié (French for kneaded butter). We will be posting more recipes that make use of these as well such as Suzanne’s Cheeseburger Soup and Kristina’s Classic French Dip.

I have seen it reported that prices are not just falling at the pump but prices of butter have been going down as well. So, crack into that piggy bank, buy some butter and make some Butter Balls, then make up Grandma’s Never Fail Noodles and you will be on the way to making Grandma’s Homemade Chicken and Noodles. It is a sure cure for colds, fevers and flus.
