Aunt Kathy’s Chocolate Cream Pie Recipe

A kid favorite Chocolate Cream Pie!  For the last few years the 4th of July has always been celebrated the same way.  I make my Aunt Kathy’s Chocolate Cream Pie that she used to make for family gatherings when I was a little girl.  Her birthday was in July so I have just always made this pie around July 4th.

There are A LOT of ways to make memories.  One of the simplest ways is making memories out of meals.  Making her pie is my way of remembering her every year.  Besides my kids love this pie!  It still amazes me to this day how the 4th will draw near and I will begin thinking about making this pie for the holiday and then also think to myself, “Oh my, I need to call her.”  And then it hits me that while I can’t call she is closer than a phone call away these days.

2 c. milk
1 pkg. instant French Vanilla pudding
1 pkg. instant Chocolate Pudding
2 c. vanilla ice cream
Mix all ingredients together until well blended and smooth.  Pour into graham cracker pie crust. Refrigerate at least one hour, and serve topped with whipped topping and shaved Chocolate.  Serves 8.  Delicious and easy to make at the last minute or for unexpected dinner guests!

Since this is a favorite for kids I hope you will give it a try!  Click here for printer friendly version of this recipe.
